Coega Development Corporation hands marketing responsibilities over

The Wisdom Keys Group have won the Coega Development Corporation marketing services account in a 4 way pitch following a stringent tender process with joint venture partner Advertising Empire based in Port Elizabeth.

The marketing account is reportedly one of the largest in the Eastern Cape, and includes the full spectrum of marketing services from strategy, to creative development and production, to experiential activations and media buying. The account includes local and international marketing to specific investor sectors and is three years in tenure.

“We are really delighted to have won this account against stiff competition in the market,” says Andrew Fasedemi the Chairman of the Wisdom Keys Group. “Our approach to the tender was to ensure that every aspect of the Coega business was addressed in our submissions and presentations and to present our clear understanding of the business task at hand.  Our strategic insights impressed the procurement panel, and we are looking forward to really making a difference on the account in the next few months.”

The Coega marketing account will be run from the Bird Street offices in Port Elizabeth with a team including WKG, Meropa and Advertising Empire resources for a synergistic approach to the account management.  The Johannesburg agency principles will guide and support implementation on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

“The submissions and presentations from all the short-listed agencies were excellent but WKG provided the most robust strategy and all round approach to our business needs. We are delighted to have a new team on board to take the Coega brand to the next level and to assist us in effective investor promotion globally,” said Senzeni Ndebelem head of marketing at Coega Development Corporation.
