The tournament aims to introduce a competitive environment, with great prizes, to teams at a development level who wish to taste glory for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you think you\u2019ve got a great Battlefield 4 team? Are you tired of grinding through the ranks for your shot at the big money? Think you have what it takes to be<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the champion? Then the ROG Carnage Cup* is the perfect arena \u00a0for you and your comrades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week we put out a vote to see which eSport would be part of the inaugural ROG Carnage Cup*, and it seems Battlefield 4 players are either really hungry for a tournament, or there\u2019s some secret preparation underway for the release of Battlefield 1. Regardless, we\u2019re excited to cover our first ever Battlefield 4 event and the timing could not be more perfect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Orena we\u2019re all about development, and while we wish to grow as an organization, we also want to grow the community. This is why the ROG Carnage Cup, and the inclusion of Battlefield, is perfect for the development of local eSports, and we cannot wait to share it with you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim is not to exclude \u00a0South Africa\u2019s best teams, but rather create opportunities for growth within a variety of \u00a0eSports titles. Battlefield 4 has flown under the radar for far too long and, by popular demand, will be the first title to feature in the ROG Carnage Cup*.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When ASUS approached us to host the cup, they said they wanted an Amateur Cup for the eSport enthusiast. \u00a0Look out for some in-game funnies, a talent search for the next best caster, and Steam voucher giveaways for spectators and players alike.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eight teams will battle it out for their share of R24 000 \u00a0in Rebel Tech vouchers and some sweet ASUS gear with the following breakdown:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1st Place: R10 000<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2nd Place: R6 000<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3rd\/4th Place: R4 000<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each player who registers will also get a personalized ROG eSport shirt, with their clan logo and in-game alias. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registrations open today (September 29th) and the competition will run until October 30th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re also looking to give one lucky aspiring shoutcaster the chance to spit some knowledge alongside Kyle \u201cCongo\u201d Wolmarans as you shoutcast the game and teach \u201cCongo\u201d a thing or two about Battlefield 4.
