HP expands Probook range

HP today introduced the latest addition to its commercial notebook PC portfolio, namely the Probook 4310s.

“Small business users want their business computing solutions to give them peace of mind during the working day and to accompany them in their personal lives,” said Charl Snyman, vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP EMEA. “The HP ProBook 4310s proves that it is possible to deliver a combination of innovative professional features at an affordable price tag, without sacrificing style.”

Weighing in at 1.97kg and 27.3mm thin, the notebook features a glossy black finish and includes a 13.3-inch diagonal HD LED-backlit display with 16:9 aspect ratio, anti-glare and optional BrightView.

The HP ProBook 4310s offers a choice of ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4330 or Mobile Inte®l Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD graphics controllers.

The HP ProBook 4310s is delivered to customers with a complete security suite HP ProtectTools at no extra cost.

The optional HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module (WWAN) ensures users can connect in more places without the need to find a WiFi hotspot. Users have the choice of a four- or eight-cell battery to enhance the notebook’s autonomy.

Among other new features included in the notebook are an HDMI port, the ExpressCard 34-slot and the Secure Digital MultiMediaCard reader.

The HP ProBook 4310s will be available locally from mid-August 2009 and will retail at R9 999.
