R50, R100 and R150 vouchers available to SA users
Nokia South Africa has announced that music vouchers for the recently launched Nokia Music Store will now be available through Edgars and CNA.
The initiative will see Nokia Music Store vouchers selling at more over 200 CNA stores and 150 Edgars stores nationwide.
“The relationship with Edcon, and more specifically Edgars and CNA, is a big step in Nokia’s efforts to broaden the access points to the new online Nokia Music Store,” says Vithesh Reddy, head of sales for Nokia South Africa. “The availability of vouchers from these traditional outlets adds another purchase option, making it easier for consumers to log on and find their favourite tracks and albums.”
Edcon is one of the largest resellers of cell phones in Southern Africa.
Nokia Music Store vouchers will be available for purchase in R50, R100 and R150 denominations. Individual tracks on the Nokia Music Store cost R10 and albums cost R100 each. The store currently features more than 5 million tracks from local and international artists.
“The Nokia Music Store provides consumers with a credible and legal online music offering,” says Lloyd Waldeck, executive manager at Edcon which owns the Edgars and CNA stores. “Edcon, through its various formats has been a supporter of local and international music for many years, and we are pleased to bring over 5-million tracks via the Nokia Music Store to South Africans.”
The store can be accessed using Nokia Music Player PC software and is downloadable for free from the store at music.nokia.co.za.
