MTN loyalty programme passes 10 million mark

Airtime points redemption system is steaming ahead says MTN

The MTN 1-4-1 loyalty programme, launched in February this year, recently passed the 10 million member in June mark says MTN.

The MTN 1-4-1 programme rewards MTN customers, prepaid or contract, with MTN Airtime, SMS bundles and Data bundles.  Registration is free, and upon registering, a customer receives one entry into a monthly draw for a double 2010 FIFA World Cup ticket.

All non-winning entries will be carried over each month until May 2010 when the last draw is set to take place. Customers will also have the opportunity to buy more entries into the monthly draw with points earned, and these will also be carried over each month until May 2010.

Additionally, any customers register before 31 August 2009 will be awarded registration bonus points based on the previous 2 month’s usage.  These bonus points can be immediately redeemed for MTN Airtime, SMS, Data or Muziq bundles.

Over 99% of these redemptions have been for airtime and SMS. To date, MTN 1-4-1 members have received over R66 million worth of MTN Airtime as well as SMS, Data and Muziq bundles says the telecommunications provider.
