Soccer star gives Samsung the thumbs up

Football star Teko Modise to represent Samsung brand

Samsung Electronics recently announced Teko Modise as their new brand ambassador as of June 2009.

Also known as Teko ‘the Ace’ or ‘the General’ Modise for his success in the Football world for both Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana, Modise will represent Samsung Electronics until the World Cup Soccer event in South Africa concludes after 2010.

“We feel that the Teko and Samsung match is a perfect one. Both leaders in their field, Teko and Samsung strive for consistent excellence in performance and both look forward to a mutually beneficial working partnership!” said Daniel Lamberti Brand Manager of Samsung Mobile Phone Division.

One of Teko and Samsung’s first partnership projects will be the launch of the Teko phone, also known as the C3503.

Teko comments on his recent partnership with Samsung Electronics: “I feel very excited, it’s the first time I’ll be associated with a big brand like Samsung, it makes me happy and I appreciate the opportunity,” commented Modise.
