Kaspersky Anti-Virus wins award
Best testing on Vista Business edition
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 has won another VB100 award from the respected British magazine Virus Bulletin.
In a comparative test published in Virus Bulletin’s August issue, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 demonstrated excellent results for malware detection and scored particularly high marks for proactive protection. “The Kaspersky Lab solution attained a truly excellent level of protection against new malware that appeared a week after the last signature update,” the Virus Bulletin experts noted.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 neutralised 100% of all the viruses taken from the Wildlist collection in on-demand scan modes as well as 97% of Trojans and 99.99% of polymorphic viruses. The Kaspersky Lab product did not generate a single false positive during testing of reactive and proactive protection. A total of 37 antivirus solutions participated in the testing that was conducted on a Windows Vista Business Edition SP2 X32 platform.
“Kaspersky’s current product is a stylish and attractive beast, with a lovely shiny interface that is a pleasure to explore and provides plenty of data on the activities of its various components in the form of eye-catching graphs and charts,” the magazine states. “Set-up is not too complex and configuration is ample without becoming overwhelming.” The authors also noted the high-speed file scanning by Kaspersky Anti-Virus and the overall fast-paced performance of the product.
