Drive Control Corporation releases REO appliance

Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has today introduced the company’s REO Business Continuity Appliance (BCA).

Available immediately to the South African channel, the appliance protects mission-critical applications and data in both physical and virtual server environments.

The REO BCA leverages Overland’s REO SERIES disk-based backup and recovery VTL (virtual tape library) to integrate a single appliance for simplifying both continuous local backup and remote disaster recovery.

A key feature of the BCA, and important reseller differentiator, is the appliance’s ability to automate the reliable recovery of vital data and applications at both the local data centre and remote disaster recovery sites by combining capacity-optimised replication technology with application-aware failover and failback.
