DCC distributes Dell SMB products to SADC countries
DCC is appointed official distributor of Dell products in the SADC region
Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has been appointed as the official distributor for Dell’s Southern African Development Community (SADC) business and will be responsible for promoting and selling the company’s Small Medium Business (SMB) and commercial products.
This includes notebooks and servers to be sold to Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Angola and Namibia. Dell is currently establishing service centres in each of the partner countries.
In the near future all warranties on products will include parts only until the respective country service centres are up and running.
“Due to our existing relationship with Dell in South Africa as well as strong logistics which includes our successful branch in Botswana, the distribution appointment made sense to both parties” comments Mandy Porter, Dell business unit manager at DCC.
“South Africa has become a logical point of distribution for the rest of Africa, which is quite a departure from a few years back, and we look forward to the challenge and growing Dell’s business in the SADC region” Porter continues.
“This said, the SMB market is relatively unknown in terms of its strength as the numbers are quite skewed. However, Botswana has been a huge success story for DCC and we hope to achieve similar success in the other countries,” adds Porter.
DCC will also soon be embarking on a road show to the various SADC countries in order to create awareness on the various Dell SMB and commercial products on offer as well other technology and distribution information.
