Reduce telecommunications costs

IBM partners with Nokia Siemens

IBM, in collaboration with Nokia Siemens Networks, has delivered a service delivery platform that will make it easier and faster for Globe Telecom, a leading telecommunications company in the Philippines, to streamline its business operations.

This Service Delivery Platform, delivered by IBM and Nokia Siemens Networks, has assisted Globe in reducing its time to market for new services by 80 percent.

“We are very excited to be working with IBM on this strategic project and have already seen tremendous improvements just by obtaining flexibility in terms of our service creation,” said Mario Domingo, head of product design and creation for Globe Telecom. “IBM has become a key technology partner for software and hardware in helping us provide the services our customers want and deserve.”

“Globe is a great example of a company delivering significant innovation and time to market improvements by taking advantage of industry standards, with an industry framework and unique set of accelerators that IBM has developed for service providers,” said Scott Stainken, general manager for IBM’s Telecommunications Industry. “The service delivery platform will not only make service creation and deployment more rapid and efficient, but can also help simplify management of Globe’s service portfolio.”
