Major IBM conference to come to SA
IBM Cognos Performance 2009 to be held in November
As part of its international Performance Events Series, IBM Cognos Performance 2009 is coming to South Africa. The event will be held at The Hilton Hotel in Johannesburg on 3 November 2009.
This one day conference is designed to provide attendees with a platform to gain a direct and practical understanding of how to better use, support and evaluate the IBM Cognos suite of Business Intelligence (BI) and Performance Management (PM) solutions.
Says David McWilliam, Manager: IBM Business Intelligence and Performance Management South Africa: “Performance 2009 is an information packed event that not only gives an update on new developments in the world of IBM Cognos business intelligence and performance management, but also delivers actionable insights on how users can extend the ROI of existing deployments and drive more value. It also offers excellent networking opportunities and the chance to meet with renowned product experts and industry thought leaders.”
The keynote session will discuss how organisations that use new intelligence for smarter business can be more agile in responding to changing business conditions, and will be better able to weather the current economic reality.
“The event will also give delegates the inside scoop on how IBM is making it easier for mid-sized organisations to deploy reporting, analysis and planning capabilities to enable faster, better decision making,” adds McWilliam. “IBM is dedicated to helping organisations of all sizes to meet the challenges of a constantly changing business environment. The event will be highly valuable for all delegates, whether they are business or IT professionals from all spheres of business.”
