MTN keeps football fans in touch
MTN has announced the availability of “Find and Follow SA” for BlackBerry® smartphones, a new application that lets MTN BlackBerry subscribers find local information and stay in touch with the latest football news and events across South Africa.
This local search application makes it simple for MTN subscribers who use a BlackBerry smartphone to stay on top of the latest scores, news, and schedules, as well as make informed choices about the hotel, restaurants, transport and other services during the months of June and July. MTN is doing its best to ensure that football enthusiasts will enjoy the very best experience during the world’s biggest sporting event.
You have various options to personalise the application, such as choosing your favourite team, which will customise its appearance and the content that you see. You’ll be able to stay in the loop with your team’s scores, schedules and news at a glance. In addition, you’ll have quick access to your team’s fan page.
Team and match news alerts are organised and easily accessed in the application, with extra attention paid to your favourite team. You can also engage with other fans of your team, making you feel like a part of a big and connected fan club sharing the joy of victory and the pain of defeat.
It will be easy for you to seek out reviews and recommendations for local businesses or services. Check out the best place to hang out and watch the football game, or find out which hotel is nearest to the stadium where you’re watching the game.
The information is presented in an “at your fingertips” dashboard that makes it quick and simple to get the information. Need directions to get to the restaurant? Access the maps option in the application so that you can see exactly where you are going.
