Polycom’s VoIP Field Verification Program

Zycko, an official South African distributor of Polycom voice communication solutions has announced the launch of Polycom’s VoIP Field Verification (VFV) Program. The program enables call control providers who have successfully integrated SIP based phones to become eligible to apply for reseller certification.

The VFV Program requires candidates to perform comprehensive testing and provide at least two end user references to Polycom to verify successful integrations with the call control platform. Successful candidates receive a number of benefits upon verification including recognition within Polycom as an authorised platform; access to the Polycom Resource Centre; access to Polycom’s Global Services; and overall improved visibility within Polycom.

Says Fiona McLean-Banks, Polycom Business Development Manager at Zycko: “The program is geared at streamlining the partner process by accelerating the time to market – as soon as the partner is verified they become eligible to become a Polycom VoIP Certified Reseller.”

Says Rob Lith, Director of Connection Telecom, a provider of hosted IP telephony services and a reseller of Polycom handsets: “We have been offering PBX services since 2004, and very early on we realised that a critical component of a good service is the IP handset itself. Thus we settled on offering only the very best IP handsets, including Polycom’s offering. We completed the VFV Program in May and the verification has proven beneficial to us as it serves as a ‘stamp of approval’ from Polycom, which is particularly important when dealing with our blue chip clients.”

Comments McLean-Banks, “As a Polycom distributor we will benefit from sales through our partnership with Connection Telecom. It is fantastic that Connection Telecom is so committed to Polycom– and their commitment to the VFV program affirms this commitment.”
