EOH acquires THINK iT Solutions

In a market move that will enhance the range of services and solutions it offers, local ICT solutions provider, THINK iT Solutions, has been acquired by EOH, a listed company that specialises in the provision of business and technology solutions across a range of industry verticals.

Both THINK iT and EOH are known in the ICT industry for providing value added  solutions and share similar ”Systems make it possible, people make it happen” philosophies that emphasise both employee and client satisfaction with service excellence.

“EOH’s business model embraces consulting, technology and outsourcing, all of which are services applied to provide high value, end-to-end solutions to its clients,” says Louis Botha, Chief Technology Officer at THINK iT. “The company is comprised of multiple business units, each with a specialised focus on its area of expertise and, effective June 2010, THINK iT became one of these business units.”

However, the company will remain a separate entity; will continue operating from its Rivonia-based premises with no significant changes anticipated amongst the managerial, support, sales and technical staff as part of the acquisition.

One aspect that will change, says Botha, is THINK iT’s access to more opportunities for growth, greater access to a larger pool of resources and an increase in its abilities in delivering high levels of value-add to its clients.

EOH’s director of business development, Brian Gubbins, says the acquisition of THINK iT is another key component to EOH’s strategy to deliver integrated solutions that help businesses of all sizes manage their information technology.

“In fact, it is THINK iT’s strength and position in the mid-market that initially attracted us to them,” he says. “As a specialist solutions provider to the midmarket business arenas, that has solidified a reputation for delivering cost effective, highly customised solutions to varying IT demands, we anticipate that having THINK iT on board will only serve to underscore EOH’s commitment to the South African market.

“THINK iT and EOH share a belief in the fact that the provision of technology services is about choosing the right solutions, which are supported by the right products and supported by the right people. Through this partnership, EOH will have access to the skill set and experience inherent to THINK iT and THINK iT, in return, will have access to a greater range of solutions and support ensuring the best results for their client’s requirements at all times.”

Lastly, as part of the acquisition, THINK iT will become a level 3 BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) contributor, which will empower the company with a defined competitive edge over the opposition – one that will help open doors, motivate tender appointments and conclude contracts.

THINK iT CEO, Dominic Oettl says: “THINK iT prides itself in being a company that has been built using specific building blocks – passion, ethics, morals, spirit, commitment and sincerity – and we have done our best to promote these characteristics amongst our staff and in our approach to business in general.

“We value people over profit and it is due to our dedicated staff complement and the support of our clients that we have managed to grow our business into an entity that is solid and successful enough to have caught the eye of industry stalwarts like EOH.

“It is a proud moment in the THINK iT history,” he concludes.
