Strategic partnership formed for African telecoms advancement
MTN Business is proud to announce that it has concluded an agreement with Spescom DataFusion, providing the company with value added reseller and strategic partner status for specialist business communication and customer interaction solutions.
“This agreement makes perfect sense for us as not only does Spescom’s product set compliment our solutions, but they also view customer support cycles and procurement best practices as critical,” says Angela Gahagan, Managing Executive at MTN Business. “Therefore, we will be examining how we can integrate some of their best-practice processes and methodologies into our front line services, to further enhance our customer experiences. Additionally this partnership provides access to exceptional call centre and voice market expertise, which, MTN Business believes is key, as we aggressively move towards mobile convergence.”
Spescom began concentrating on leveraging the opportunities resulting from the global trend towards the convergence of voice, video and data communications in 2007. A year later, the company introduced Libra Mobile, the first unified solution for mobile and fixed-line telephony recording. Today, Spescom’s widely acknowledged depth of technology skills, its carefully selected global partnerships with world leading vendors, and its considerable experience and expertise has seen it acquire dominance in the contact centre and broadcast media production arenas, and become a strategic supplier to other network operators in Africa and across the globe.
“Our success to date has been based on strong solution offerings combined with outstanding service and our ability to adapt to market needs and requirements,” says Jene Palmer, CEO at Spescom Ltd. “We chose to partner with MTN Business, as it enables us to expand our capabilities by leveraging off an unparalleled existing infrastructure and product set, as well as giving us the ability to offer complete end-to-end solutions to our customers, through a single point of contact.”
MTN Business is committed to working with organisations that drive value and innovation to the market. “Our business and cultural ethos are complimentary and therefore at the conclusion of this agreement, I can state with confidence that this partnership will be a beneficial and rewarding one for both organisations, but more so for our customers and the industry at large,” concludes Gahagan.
Spescom’s footprint extends from South Africa to sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The company has a staff complement of 258 with its South African offices located in Johannesburg, Stellenbosch and Durban; a newly established office in Kampala, Uganda; and a London (UK) office.
