Service providers at TM Forum’s Management World Africa
TM Forum has announced that service providers from across Africa, including Host Sponsor Telkom SA, Etisalat Nigeria and Virgin Mobile South Africa, among others, will present strategic case studies at Management World Africa 2011, one of Africa’s leading communications conferences. Held from September 20-21 at the Hilton Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa, Management World Africa is on target to break attendance records with 56 percent of attendees coming from service providers.
Management World Africa features real-world strategies for success through service provider case studies on how TM Forum’s Frameworx enables transformation and instills agility in service provider operations. TM Forum’s Frameworx is the industry’s most widely adopted suite of standards that provides the blueprint for effective business operations and allows service providers to assess and improve performance by using a proven, service-oriented approach to implementation.
During the conference, key sessions examine the strategies and best practices that allow service providers to compete more effectively. Highlights from the conference agenda include presentations from service providers’ real-world experiences, such as:
- How Telkom SA accelerated their network and customer system transformations by successfully aligning and migrating legacy network systems
- How Camtel overcame billing and CRM challenges to deliver new services to customers, improve subscriber-facing activities and increase ROI
- How Mobitel leveraged TM Forum’s Frameworx to accelerate process transformation and reduce time to market for new services
“Management World Africa offers keen insight into the business practices and network operations of the region’s top companies at a time when service providers are trying to keep pace with the rapidly growing and expanding African telecom market,” said Bashier Sallie, Managing Director: Wholesale and Networks, Telkom SA. “With high-quality conference panels and keynotes examining hot topics such as network transformation, customer satisfaction and experience, and revenue management, Management World Africa is a must-attend event for any communications provider or supplier with a stake in the region and we are pleased to be the service provider host sponsor for this valuable event.”
“As Africa has catapulted into the information age and narrowed its digital divide, the continent is experiencing strong mobile and broadband growth. The potential for service innovation and delivery in the region makes Management World Africa an ideal opportunity for African service providers and global industry players alike to come together and discuss the future of communications,” said Nik Willetts, Senior Vice President, Communications, TM Forum. “Attendees will come away with a strong understanding of how they can attain and maintain a competitive advantage—clearly an important topic in the region based on the record number registered for this year’s event.”
