Ontology presents at Africa Telco trade show
Ontology Systems, the semantic search technology provider for Enterprise Data Alignment, prepares for a busy show at Management World Africa 2011 in Johannesburg this month with Ontology customer, Telkom SA, presenting their Ontology deployment case study to the conference.
Ontology customer, Molefi Moeketsi, Enterprise Data Architect at Telkom SA, will be presenting alongside Ontology CEO, Benedict Enweani, in the Delivering Agility to your IT & Operations Forum on the main conference agenda.
The presentation on Tuesday, September 20th, taking place between 2.40pm and 3.00pm, is entitled: ‘Examining how Telkom SA has accelerated their network and customer system transformations by successfully aligning and migrating legacy network systems’.
The case study details how Telkom SA, along with Ontology, was able to:
- Achieve a rapid and accurate alignment of data across multiple network systems to speed a strategic network OSS and customer BSS transformation.
- Align multiple networking inventory systems to provide a single, unified network inventory master data hub.
- Understand how the use of semantic search minimized the risk of a large transformation by lowering the cost and uncertainty of legacy migration.
- Describe the advantages of using semantics instead of traditional data extraction, transformation and migration tools to converge data from disparate network systems.
