Cloud Services summit to explore broadband service provider cloud strategies

This inaugural event is co-located at the TelcoTV Conference and Expo at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

“Broadband service providers are on a mission to monetize their broadband infrastructure. They continue to make significant investments in their networks, and cloud and managed services are some of the most promising revenue opportunities to help achieve that mission,” said Bernie Arnason, managing editor of telecompetitor.com and chair of the Cloud Services Summit. “Cloud Services Summit will discuss and outline how these broadband carriers can maximize their cloud opportunity and avoid the dumb pipe trap.”

Featured keynote speakers for this important event include Clint Harder, Vice President of Product Strategy for TDS Telecom, who is a key executive at TDS Hosted & Managed Services, LLC, the cloud services subsidiary of TDS Telecom.

Additionally, David Cuthbert, President of Alteva & USA Datanet, will keynote this event. Cuthbert recently assumed the role of President of Alteva & USA Datanet and COO of WVT Communications, after WVT’s acquisition of cloud services provider Alteva. Other featured speakers include Greg Johnson, Manager-IP Services of Finley Engineering, a major engineering consultant to North American broadband carriers.

Cloud Services Summit will focus on important cloud and managed services topics including the growing role of video service delivery from the cloud, the growing importance of the data center to broadband carriers, and an exploration of the impact of both business and consumer apps from the cloud. Cloud Services Summit has broad support from the cloud services ecosystem with key sponsors including Finley Engineering, Echostar, and Alcatel-Lucent.
