South Africa’s 2011 Recruitment Survey Underway
The 2011 survey is underway, and with the emergence of mobile, social media and location-based search technology, this year’s survey will focus on measuring the impact of these platforms on the traditional recruitment landscape, while delving deeper into how recruiters utilise these mediums to source talent.
The annual SA Recruitment Survey gathers valuable insights into those methods that are currently proving to be most effective for South Africa’s recruiters, while offering recruiters and employers the opportunity to assess their own methods of recruitment and to benchmark their methodologies against like-minded recruitment professionals.
The SA Recruiters Network provides a niche platform for recruitment and HR professionals to network and share recruitment best practices and insights with other industry professionals. Throughout the month of September, the SA Recruiters Network will run two separate surveys – one focused on recruitment agencies and another on HR and hiring managers from corporate South Africa. South African Job Portal, Jobs.co.za will run a concurrent survey with its job seekers in order to better understand the current job hunting trends from both active and passive job seekers.
The results will be collated and analysed during October, and the key findings delivered at breakfast seminars hosted by Jobs.co.za in Johannesburg and Cape Town during November. Participants of the survey will receive a complimentary invitation to attend the breakfast presentation where they will have the opportunity to discuss and interact on the subject of the current and ever changing Recruitment landscape.
With dispiriting speculation that another recession might be on its way, this could no doubt have a ripple effect on the South African employment industry, once again pushing the recovery out and further impacting heavily on job creation. It will be interesting to see if companies have made provision for this impending recession, and if they will be implementing more innovative and cost effective ways of acquiring talent.
While participants will be privy to receiving this information first at the breakfast presentations in November, the key findings will be released to the media shortly thereafter. The SA Recruiter’s Network and Jobs.co.za invites South African recruiters and job seekers to contribute their insights by participating in the 2011 Recruiters Survey.
