Helios Towers Africa shortlisted for three AfricaCom awards

Helios Towers Africa is a contender to win Best Pan African Initiative, Best Cost Efficiency Initiative for Africa and Best Network Improvement.  The AfricaCom conference awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in the African telecommunications market.

Charles Green, CEO of Helios Towers Africa, said: “We are delighted that our success in pioneering the tower sharing model across Africa has been highlighted by AfricaCom.  We aim to deliver more affordable and accessible communications across the continent, and it is encouraging to see the value of this work being acknowledged.  We look forward to the announcement of the winners in November.”

Helios Towers Africa will be leading a session on tower sharing at the AfricaCom conference in Cape Town.  The award winners will be announced at the conference on 9 November 2011.
