Woolworths South Africa Selects JDA Software Solutions to Optimize its Retail Supply Chain

South Africa’s leading retailer looks to improve availability and localize assortments with competitive pricing

(NASDAQ: JDAS), The Supply Chain Company®, today announced that Woolworths, South Africa’s leading and most respected retail chain, selected a number of JDA solutions in the fourth quarter of 2011. The solutions, including JDA® Demand, JDA® Fulfillment, JDA® Channel Clustering, JDA® Assortment Optimization, JDA® Planogram Generator, JDA® Shelf Price Optimization, JDA® Promotion Optimization, and Markdown Optimization, were chosen to help increase demand visibility across the entire trading network, identify consumer preferences, and optimize assortment, merchandising and pricing processes with the aim of improving sales and customer satisfaction for its food business.
