Syntech makes a substantial investment to expand its product base

Leading IT distributor Syntech has announced that it is to “invest substantially” in the significant expansion of its product range after repeated requests from its customers to “expand its basket of offerings”.

This is according to Ryan Martyn, a director of Syntech, speaking on his return from the annual Computex exhibition held in Taiwan earlier this month. Martyn said the company believes there is a need to continually embrace new technology –and to provide this to its customers at “the most affordable rates”.

The company will be adding a slew of new products to its existing range, including brands such as J5 Create, Rii, Worldcard and Diyomate.

“We have taken on a number of new ranges embracing products such as scanners, docking stations, remote controls and media players to ensure that we are providing the marketplace with the latest and greatest in innovation.’

Martyn said the expansion of Syntech’s product range marks a move away from being regarded as a specialised distributor of high-end products aimed at niche markets. “Our clients want a broader spread of products – including more consumer-focused products – hence our decision to invest in the expansion of our product line.”

He said that management hopes, by extending the company’s product range, more clients will “view us as a one-stop shop and will handle all, or most of, their product procurement through Syntech”.
