It’s all in your hands: Konica Minolta’s new bizhub C654/C754 colour MFP series arriving in September 2012

Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa is proud to announce the upcoming availability of its new colour multifunctional products (MFPs), the bizhub C654/C754 series. The new series focuses on usability in every respect and sets new standards in individual user convenience and customisation.

The new office printers feature Konica Minolta’s INFO-Palette design, a touch screen interface with a wealth of functions allowing more advanced accessibility and making work more fun than ever before. The products also offer a broad range of smart applications and software to enhance their productivity, coupled with fast speed and superior colour quality output.

As the company’s newest generation of office systems, the bizhub C654 and bizhub C754 also give users a multitude of functions and possibilities with a simple touch. The bright nine-inch colour touch screen features multi-touch functionality with the intuitive “touch-and-swipe” interface that is well known from smartphones and tablet PCs. With simplified menus and customisable icons, users have it all in their hands – and work faster and smarter than before.

The devices are always ready for the next job thanks to their fast warm-up time of approximately 22 seconds, high-speed printing and long-lasting consumables. With fast output speeds of up to 60 ppm in colour and 75 ppm in black and white for the bizhub C754, and 60 ppm in colour and 65 ppm in black and white for the bizhub C654, this new series can produce customised, full-colour content in-house and on-demand, saving both time and money.

The new bizhub series also includes standard dual scanning. The document feeder achieves a scanning speed of up to 180ipm, scanning both sides of the original. Even mixed originals of different sizes as well as a mix of single- and double-sided prints can be scanned with maximum efficiency. The devices filter blank pages automatically during the scanning process.

The remarkably eco-friendly design and concern for power saving, waste reduction and the use of eco materials in their construction underline the bizhub C654/C754’s advanced “green” usability. New features like the dynamic eco timer, which analyses working conditions and automatically adjusts sleep mode and ready timings, contribute especially to the ecological and economical performance of the devices.

“Even though new technologies offer plenty of new possibilities for more efficient office environments, the increasing number of devices required and the long lists of features can easily have the opposite effect. So one of the focus areas for the development of the new bizhub C654/C754 series was overall usability,” says Andrew Griffith, product manager for office products at Konica Minolta South Africa. “The new menu structure, icon-based description, multi-touch operation and customisation options will enable users to use them intuitively and make work more fun with the overall functionality of the bizhub C654 and C754.”
