Ruckus Wireless Mini Dogs Conference comes to South Africa
Commitment to local market expands through the channel
Ruckus Wireless is determined to examine the challenges and opportunities that exist for their South African resellers and in so doing, is proud to host their inaugural Mini Dogs road-show across Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
The Mini Dogs road-show is a chance for Ruckus Wireless customers, partners, employees and others with a vested interest in the company to gather in a central place to get to know each other, share industry knowledge, discuss opportunities and challenges, and to become something akin to a Ruckus family.
“Ruckus Wireless is among the industry’s fastest growing pure-play Wi-Fi companies. We sell into the enterprise market exclusively through a two-tier channel model that includes top distributors and channel partners in every country – including South Africa,” says Michael Fletcher, Sales Director for Ruckus Wireless sub-Saharan Africa. “As a company that is 100% channel focused – we rely heavily on a successful channel strategy. Essentially it’s about creating a channel with a structure, value proposition and margin model that is unique and compelling – and our Mini Dogs road-show, allows us to really hone into the market and ensure we get this 100% correct.”
The technology channel has always been a challenging market with advancements taking place at a rapid rate. What’s more, with the slow-down in the market following the recession and the decline in the average selling price of technology – to be successful means performing in a tight economy.
“As a result, channel partners are looking into the whole eco-system. They don’t just want to build wireless networks, they have components in video, or voice or RFID to name but a few and it is this model that the Ruckus Mini Dogs partner programme and road-show aims to speak to – enabling a comprehensive understanding of this eco-system and of course, driving confidence in the support that we as a business can offer these partners,” concludes Fletcher.
The Ruckus Wireless Mini Dogs road-show will be taking place from the 14th August in Johannesburg, 15th August in Durban and 16th August in Cape Town.
