DCC appoints Yvelde Scrooby as HP IPG Printer Product Manager

Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) recently appointed Yvelde Scrooby as their HP Imaging & Printing Group (IPG) Product Manager.  She will be responsible for marketing, sales, stock control and product and price support of all HP printers, scanners and entry level graphic printers to the channel.

Scrooby is no stranger to DCC; she started her IT career at the distributor as receptionist in 2005 and quickly climbed the ranks.  Within three months she was promoted to HP Logistics Administrator and has since then filled various roles within the HP team at DCC, such as Administrator, Marketing Specialist and Sales Executive for Strategic Accounts.

Says Scrooby, “I was in my previous position of Sales Executive for only 10 months, but could not refuse the offer of Product Manager for a tier one brand such as HP. It is a tremendous opportunity to gain greater knowledge and experience in the market.”

“HP’s Inkjet, Laserjet and Designjet product ranges cater to different market sectors and are well known for their quality prints and Eco Smart benefits – whether it be the packaging, recycling processes or eco friendly components inside the printers. These premium products go through extensive research and development and testing phases, which is why HP is currently the number one printer in the market,” continues Scrooby.

As HP IPG Product Manager Scrooby will be managing the products’ price, availability and marketing. This includes something Scrooby is particularly excited about, namely assisting resellers to  grow their business and taking a pro-active approach to promoting the HP brand to the market and broadening their client base. To this end her experience and background knowledge of the procedures and processes she has gained in the last seven years with DCC, will be a great advantage.

“Over the next six months I plan to increase HP’s market share and promote the brand as widely as possible. The responsibility of HP and DCC relying on me to perform at my best is a great motivation for me,” says Scrooby.
