Lease upturn at Highveld Technopark in Centurion

Buoyancy appears to be returning to the commercial rental market in Centurion, with Highveld Technopark – one of the leading technology office parks in the area – reporting that more than 10 new leases have been signed in the last three months.

This was confirmed by Org Geldenhuys, managing director of Abacus DIVISIONS, the property development and marketing company – which was awarded the mandate to market property at Highveld Technopark three months ago.

“Since we started the marketing drive for Highveld Technopark we have signed more than 10 new leases, amounting to more than 2000 square metres of office space. This bodes well for future rental buoyancy in the area.”

Geldenhuys said that companies which opted for Highveld Technopark did so as it is “currently seen as a value for money destination”, providing upmarket office space at very competitive prices.

“There is also a decent infrastructure in the area, which includes a recently upgraded road network,” said Geldenhuys.

“The demographics of the new clients coming into the area seem to be service-orientated companies. This includes telecoms companies, consulting engineering and technology related companies – which is well complimented by companies of a similar nature already in the area.”
