HP offers government agencies new services
HP today announced that HP Security for Public Sector offerings have been expanded to help government agencies manage enterprise threat postures, contain costs driven by identity fraud and application vulnerabilities, and drive efficiencies while supporting compliance requirements.
Public sector organisations need to protect data, systems and facilities as intrusions and attacks grow more sophisticated and aggressive. Mobile workers, cloud computing and social networking add to the cybersecurity challenge as regulations, laws and policies mount, while budgets shrink.
HP Security for Public Sector will help government agencies address these challenges:
- HP Assured Identity offers simplified identity, credential and access management. Available on-premises or as-a-service, it enables tighter controls against insider threats, robust identity proofing, and reduced complexity around secure information sharing between collaborating organisations.
- HP Comprehensive Applications Threat Analysis (CATA) on Demand improves security of applications throughout the software development lifecycle, to proactively reduce the likelihood and severity of future intrusions or attacks. CATA is now available via the HP Fortify on Demand portal.
- HP Security Operations Center (SOC) Consulting Services, designed for public sector clients outside the United States, enables clients to establish an onsite intelligent cybersecurity operations center. Clients also can acquire HP services to assist in managing the center. This service complements HP’s U.S. Public Sector security consulting and security operations center service.
“The security of government data, systems and facilities is of the utmost importance because of their prominence in protecting and improving lives through national defense, commerce, education, and citizen services nationwide,” said Ashton Steyn, Chief Technology Officer and Cloud Ambassador, HP Enterprise Services. “HP Cybersecurity for Public Sector leverages the breadth and depth of HP’s security solutions to meet the exacting standards of government agencies.”
Featured HP services are supported by more than 3,000 security professionals with a variety of IT and security certifications as well as security clearances.
