DCC’s Dell Consumer range gets a makeover with more performance, more memory, more storage and more

Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) is pleased to announce the availability of Dell’s latest range of consumer notebook and desktop devices. The refreshed third generation Dell range features Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge chipsets along with increased RAM and more storage space, giving consumers more bang for their buck. This product refresh is applicable across the entire Dell consumer range, including Inspiron, Vostro, XPS and Alienware products.

“Intel’s Ivy Bridge chipset offers more power, more speed and better performance. Added to this, most new Dell models will incorporate 8GB RAM as standard, as well as third generation Intel Core i processors, and loads more storage space. The Alienware and XPS devices also incorporate dedicated graphics cards, and the Inspiron and XPS notebooks have a narrower chassis for greater portability,” says Nitesh Devanand, Dell Consumer Product Specialist at DCC.

The Inspiron range is aimed at the home user market. These devices feature interchangeable lids so that consumers can change the colour and look of their laptops at a whim. It is available in 13 inch, 15 inch and 17 inch models. Vostro is ideal for the Small to Medium Business (SMB) market, offering corporate chic and elegant business design in 13 inch, 14 inch and 15 inch models, with all of the features and functionality SMBs need.

The XPS range includes high performance machines for graphics intense applications including computer-aided design (CAD), graphic design and even gaming. This range includes a 14 inch and 15 inch model as well as a 13 inch Ultrabook, ideal for the road warrior. The XPS range features an upgraded sleek and professional design perfect for the office, the boardroom or the home.

Alienware machines service a highly niche market, aimed at professional gamers. The notebook range is available in 14 inch, 17 inch and 18 inch has been updated to include customisable colour schemes in green, blue, black, yellow and pink. The Aurora desktop have been updated with a new chassis which changes the look and feel of the machines. Alienware has also launched new form factor desktop called the X51 which punches way above its fighting weight which is very modest 6kg’s making the desktop perfect for Gaming Lan’s. Aside from upgraded performance the Alienware range remains the same, famous for its legendary performance in the gaming space.

“Dell’s annual product refresh is a highlight on the consumer computing market. These upgraded machines all offer renowned Dell quality and service with updated specifications, better performance and enhanced capabilities, all at a similar price bracket to the previous year’s models,” Devanand concludes.
