Best of Both Worlds with Vox Supafone & YahClick

Vox Telecom has put together a one of a kind package for their customers, combining their best-selling telephony product, the Vox Supafone and their high-speed, affordable satellite internet service YahClick. The YahClick -Vox Supafone package adds a voice-prioritised channel to the broadband offering at a low cost.

The package is ideal for rural areas, where copper theft and security is a concern. “Landline coverage in South Africa is far from ideal, with some farmers still only having access to party-lines,” explains Bradley Gatter, product manager of the Vox Supafone. “With this package, business will enjoy a reliable connection and very good quality calls. It will also be particularly significant for farmers, schools, and municipalities in rural communities, where reliable access to a telephone is essential.”

“This is a great add-on to the YahClick service,” says Jacques Visser, YahClick Project Manager. “The Vox Supafone requires a standard router to connect, giving users access to high-quality voice calls and Wi-Fi. Users can stay connected without having to utilise mobile data, which is good news for customers with iPads or other smart devices. And because the product works via satellite there is no risk of downtime due to cable or copper line theft, so you are connected at all times to the world.”

YahClick was the first Ka-band satellite service to be launched in South Africa. Ka-band satellites transmit many highly focused, overlapping ‘spot beams’, each covering a relatively small area, which allows for access to greater bandwidth at a lower cost. The service has been extremely popular in rural areas, where previously businesses and communities have not had access to a reliable internet service.

YahClick customers taking advantage of the offer will receive their free Vox Supafone, bundled with R59 worth of calls, whereafter they will be billed according to usage. New customers can select their choice of voice packages; get their free Vox Supafone and R59 worth of minutes. There is a minimal once-off installation fee of R100,” says Gatter.

The YahClick package is voice-prioritised, which means the quality of service is superb. Best of all, the package is inclusive of both voice and data, which makes it ideal for use in schools or small businesses. The monthly service plans are divided in Consumer service plans, Business service plans and Enterprise service plans. The customer can select a package with the required download / upload speed and usage.

This package is available through all Vox Telecom and @lantic channels.
