Schneider Electric awarded R101 million in orders By First Quantum Minerals Ltd
Schneider Electric, the global energy management specialist, has secured purchase orders totalling R101 million from First Quantum Minerals Ltd’s Kansanshi smelter project and the Sentinel Greenfields project in Zambia. The Kansanshi site is located 15kms north of the town of Solwezi and the Sentinel site can be found approximately 150kms west of the same town.
The scope includes 16 33kV F400 panels, 26 33kV DFN7 panels, 169 MCSet panels as well as 27 Motorpact panels and 35 Altivar 1200 medium voltage variable speed drives.
Schneider Electric South Africa, in strong collaboration with Schneider Electric Australia, provided detailed and comprehensive medium voltage electrical solutions with the emphasis on competitive pricing and meeting the project delivery time expectations.
