Gearhouse choose Vox Telecom to develop its national MPLS infrastructure
Running a national business requires an excellent national ICT infrastructure – which events equipment supplier Gearhouse South Africa has turned to Vox Telecom to provide.
“We supply all the technology our clients need to stage successful events, whether it’s a product launch, a conference, a concert, an exhibition, a presentation or an intimate business function,” says Robyn D’Alessandro, National Marketing Manager for the Gearhouse Group. “With branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban and a large vehicle fleet, we can deliver on demand, 24 hours a day, around South Africa and across its borders.”
An operation of this scale needs to be underpinned by reliable IT infrastructure, says D’Alessandro. “Our national network has to be able to support, protect and streamline our business functions across all our regions.”
Gearhouse has recently embarked on a national infrastructure upgrade programme, which included deploying a new corporate data IP network. “We’ve rolled out a managed MPLS network with automatic failover to all three branches,” says Project Manager Sally Penney. “Our goal is to speed up and manage network traffic flow, and ensure that system failures are minimized and don’t affect critical business processes.”
Gearhouse turned to Vox Telecom to supply the national voice and data infrastructure to support the upgraded network. “We looked for a reliable, market leading supplier that would give us the increased network resilience we needed,” Penney says. “Vox Telecom had a proven track record and was competitively priced – and they demonstrated their desire to work with us to develop infrastructure that suits our business needs.”
She says the Vox Telecom solution will improve resiliency while at the same time reducing overall network and infrastructure costs. “We also have a great relationship with Vox Telecom. Their support is good, and they take every opportunity to engage with our technical staff to improve performance.”
