Kaspersky Lab included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software

Kaspersky Lab is pleased to announce that it has been recognised in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software*. Kaspersky Lab was one of 18 software providers – out of more than 100 which were evaluated – that meet the technical and business requirements for inclusion in this Magic Quadrant.

Gartner analysts evaluate technology providers on their ability to execute and completeness of vision. ‘Ability to execute’ reflects the quality and efficacy of the processes, systems, methods or procedures that enable IT provider performance to be competitive, efficient and effective, and to positively affect revenue, retention and reputation.

Completeness of Vision reflects ability to convincingly articulate logical statements about current and future market direction, innovation, customer needs, and competitive forces, as well as how they map to the Gartner position.

Alexander Erofeev, Chief Marketing Officer of Kaspersky Lab, commented: “We are very pleased to join Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for MDM Software. We believe this confirms the high quality of the MDM solutions we provide to our corporate clients all over the world. Our emphasis on MDM and its integration into our corporate platform is part of our strategy to always keep abreast of rapidly changing corporate environments.

Today companies have to identify, secure and manage mobile devices containing corporate data, just as they do with endpoints. And we are working hard to provide them with the best quality solutions in both of these categories.”

Kaspersky Lab’s main MDM product – Kaspersky Security for Mobile – was released in 2012. It integrates essential mobile endpoint security technologies and efficient mobile device management capabilities to make it easier to protect mobile devices against viruses, spyware, Trojans, worms, bots and a wide range of other threats.

Additional security technologies – including powerful encryption and anti-theft features – add further layers of protection for precious business data.

Earlier this year, Kaspersky Lab was also named a “Leader” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms**, the second year running that the company achieved this coveted status. Thus, Kaspersky Lab believes it has cemented its status as a leading provider of both MDM and Endpoint Protection.
