Trillium Software named a data quality leader in Independent Analyst Firm Research

Master Data Management is the South African partner for Trillium Software, a leading provider of Total Data Quality Solutions, which has once again been named a data quality leader by independent analyst firm The Information Difference. Trillium Software was further recognised for its commitment to customer satisfaction and cited as the one leading vendor in terms of technology and market strength with the happiest customers.

The report, “The Data Quality Landscape – Q1 2013” analyzed more than 35 different vendors and evaluated each based on market strength, technology and customer base. The research indicates that the data quality market was worth $994 million in 2012, an increase of five percent over 2011.

“Ultimately, a good tool is only 50% of the solution. This report highlights the value of a focussed partner in ensuring project success, particularly as new disciplines like data governance are being more widely adopted. It is particularly pleasing to see that, yet again, Trillium Software has the happiest customers,” says Master Data Management’s, Gary Allemann.

“Business leaders need to be able to navigate and take control of their data exploration, analysis and reporting to support mission-critical business initiatives in order to make better decisions based on data-reliant processes,” says Andy Hayler, president and CEO of The Information Difference. “Trillium Software has both the technology expertise and market experience to put the power of data quality in the hands of business users to address data quality challenges and capitalise on to improve the value of data.”

Unlike architecture or application providers, Trillium Software focuses directly on addressing data quality-based problems in an organisation, bringing deep subject matter experts together with data quality managers to address long-term business process improvements. Coupled with Trillium Software’s market knowledge and industry-specific expertise, customers can not only analyse, cleanse and improve the value of data, but can also identify opportunities for cost reductions, business and process improvements, and efficiencies.

“Our business customers and the market in general are seeking additional responsibilities in the data quality process, which is why Trillium Software enables self-service data exploration for business analysts,” says Len Dubois, senior vice president of marketing, Trillium Software. “We enable data stewards, business analysts and IT executives to serve their own needs to create increased transparency for subject matter experts across the enterprise.”
