Aptronics scoops top awards at VMware Partner Exchange

Aptronics, one of South Africa’s foremost black empowered IT solutions providers, scooped the ‘VMware Solution Provider of the Year’ trophy for the third year in succession at the VMware Partner Exchange event held in Johannesburg on 12 June 2013.

This follows on the recognition the company received at the VMware Partner event in Las Vegas in 2012, where it received the Global Partner of the Year Award for Emerging Markets.

VMware South Africa hosts an annual awards ceremony at its VMware Partner Exchange event to recognise those partners that have demonstrated excellence in their application of VMware technology both at regional and global levels.

“These awards recognize top partners in a variety of categories that demonstrate excellence in helping customers evolve to a software-defined data centre with VMware solutions. We are delighted by the acknowledgement of our work from VMware and we look forward to a long partnership with the company,” said Ken Marsden, Chief Technology Officer at VMXperts, the Aptronics subsidiary responsible for the delivery of the VMware portfolio in South Africa.

Aptronics also received two other international recognitions for Most VMware competencies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the EMEA Emerging Markets Partner of the Year.

“The international categories for the EMEA regions are a reflection of Aptronics capacity to attain all of the required competencies needed to fulfil customer needs around the VMware solution-set. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment,” Sachin Bhowan, Managing Director VMXperts, concluded.
