Samsung introduces the Ch@t 333
Smart messenger phone for the mobile generation
Samsung Electronics South Africa has launched the Samsung Ch@t 333 – a device that not only looks good but one that offers you leading functionality, quality and at a price that is definitely favourable in the feature phone segment. The Ch@t 333 is a smart messenger phone that allows you to chat with your friends, surf the Web, listen to your favourite music or play exciting games – easily and quickly.
“While there is a shift towards smartphones it is critical to note that there is still a strong demand for feature phones in a market such as ours,” says Craige Fleischer, Director of Mobile Communications at Samsung Electronics South Africa. “In this segment we are seeing that consumers are looking to trade up – be it for a slightly higher price – to devices that offer a design and functionality that is closely mirrored to that of a smartphone. In fact, these consumers are looking to become more connected and the Samsung Ch@t 333 is designed to meet these exact messaging and connectivity needs in the form of a cost-effective device.”
Despite its price-point the phone doesn’t cut corners on design or basic functionality. In fact, the metal frame suggests a look of style that brings to mind the designs of premium devices. Additionally, the keypad has a youthful look and feel, and enables you to comfortably text quickly and easily on the go. Available in three colours, Ch@t 333 also boasts a FM radio, and a two megapixel camera to provide the mobile generation with a reliable device that offers continuous social connectivity and a pleasant user experience.
“Consumers love to be involved about what’s going on with their friends, family and in their communities. They share ideas and unforgettable moments. Whether their circle of friends are nearby, across the country or on the other side of the world, staying in touch with the Samsung Ch@t 333 has never been easier,” says Fleischer.
Ch@t 333 comes pre-loaded with Twitter, Facebook, and options for downloading instant messaging applications like MXit, as well as offering local language options such as Zulu and Xhosa. What’s more, the embedded Samsung Ch@tOn App is designed to let consumers easily share messages, images, contacts and calendars with their buddies one-on-one or in group chat. The long-lasting battery and Opera Mini Web browser contributes to a great Internet experience.
“This is a reliable device with a smartphone-like interface to create connections and ultimately bring people closer together,” concludes Fleischer.
The Samsung Ch@t 333 comes at a recommended retail price of R599 and is available at all leading retail outlets nationwide.
