Android or Windows – DCC has it covered with the latest Smartphones from Huawei

Prefer Windows to Android or vice versa? Then look no further than Huawei’s new range of Smartphones for both Windows and Android enthusiasts – the Huawei Ascend P6 for Android and Huawei Ascend W1 for Windows – now available from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).

“DCC is putting choice in the user’s hands with the latest Huawei Smartphones. The Huawei Ascend P6 features an Android’s Jelly Bean Operating System (OS) and the Windows OS is featured on the Huawei Ascend W1,” says Rajen Naicker, Product Specialist, Hardware and Storage Solutions at DCC. “This is providing users with the strength of the Huawei brand irrespective of whether they are Windows or Android fans.”

The Huawei Ascend W1 is geared for the discerning business user requiring the Windows OS on their mobile device. Featuring Windows 8, the Huawei Ascend W1 comes standard with a 4-inch high quality IPS screen.

The elegant Huawei Ascend P6 is slim with a trendy metallic body. It is currently the slimmest Smartphone, at only 6.18 mm and features a 4.7-inch in-cell display. For added convenience, the Huawei Ascend P6 offers a sensitive touch-screen so it can still be used while wearing gloves.

Each Smartphone offers the best in camera capabilities with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera for the Huawei Ascend W1 and Huawei Ascend P6 respectively. Both Smartphones also feature front-facing camera capabilities allowing you to take self-portraits with ease.

The Huawei Ascend W1 is pre-loaded with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook making work on the move a much simpler task. Synchronising with SkyDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service, is seamless, updates your emails and folders and offers you remote access. The 10.15 mm Huawei Ascend W1 includes 512 Megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM), 4 Gigabyte (GB) flash memory as well as an extended capacity of up to 32 GB micro SD. The micro SD is specifically designed for mobile devices and gives you more capacity when needed.

Featuring Android’s Jelly Bean 4.2 OS which improves the speed, performance throughout the system and simplicity of Android, Huawei’s Ascend P6 gives you easy access to a host of new applications featuring on Huawei’s Emotion UI enhancement – The Me Widget. The Me Widget is a plug-in that allows you to add ‘about me’ content to blogs and social media sites. Synchronise, store and backup your content with Cloud+ and Phone Finder allows you to locate, protect or erase your content remotely.

“Both Smartphones offer impressive battery life with Smart Power Saving technology. The Smart 3-level power saving mechanism focuses on the chip, hardware and software so when one ‘level’ is not in use, battery life is significantly saved.
