Konica Minolta South Africa supports HospiceWits
Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa has pledged its ongoing support to HospiceWits by providing the organisation with a bizhub PRESS C6000 digital colour press for its printing needs, as well as ongoing maintenance.
HospiceWits is a highly accredited palliative care provider with a multi-disciplinary/ holistic approach to palliative care. They love and care for individuals diagnosed with terminal illness and their families. All are welcomed; no one is turned away regardless of age, race, religion or financial circumstances. HospiceWits serves the greater Johannesburg area, North, South and Soweto.
According to Leon Minnie, product manager of production systems at Konica Minolta South Africa, HospiceWits had approached the document imaging and management company earlier this year for assistance with the printing of 300,000 DL flyers, further to an awareness creating opportunity the organisation had been given by Caxton & CTP Publishers and Printers.
“We felt that it would make more sense to provide a self-sustaining solution to HospiceWits, that would serve the organisation and help support its amazing work well into the future, instead of giving once-off support,” he explains.
“HospiceWits has an ongoing need for the printing of material to support its fundraising events, such as posters, flyers and race entry forms, and the C6000’s long-run high-speed printing, in both colour and black & white, and reduced environmental impact made it the ideal match.”
Says Joy Ruwodo, HospiceWits marketing manager: “Without the generosity and support of Konica Minolta South Africa, and other like-minded corporates, we would not be able to maintain and grow our services. This donation will allow HospiceWits to reduce our printing costs considerably, resulting in more funds to provide care to our patients and their families. We are most grateful for this contribution which will continue to assist us in the long term. A big thank you to Konica Minolta South Africa, you have a made a difference in the lives of others.”
