DCC appoints new Verbatim and Epson Product Specialist

Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has appointed Ruben Naicker as its new Verbatim and Epson Product Specialist. Naicker is responsible for driving the complete range of Verbatim products and Epson’s range of consumables into the market.

Naicker has been involved in the IT sales industry for nearly nine years, initially working on end-user accounts focused on consumables. He worked his way up to become a Key Account Sales Consultant. Understanding the customer and their needs is vital and Naicker’s sales experience has equipped him with the expertise and knowledge to meet these needs and assist DCC’s resellers.

“I enjoy every aspect of this industry, especially sales, purchasing, marketing and assisting the sales team. Helping the reseller in matching the correct product to their customer’s needs and ensuring reseller, and ultimately customer, satisfaction is what keeps me going that extra mile,” says Naicker.

Naicker is responsible for managing the sales and marketing of the Verbatim and Epson range of products. Naicker is also charged with ensuring stock levels are maintained optimally and that access to the range of products is always available to resellers. An important component of the role includes training and support to the sales team as well as supporting end user customers when required.

“Increasing sales and gaining market share for both Verbatim and Epson is my goal. I am eager to showcase the current products available within both these brands to our resellers and highlighting new technologies and products as and when they are launched.”

Naicker is currently studying part-time towards his BCom in Marketing and Business Management and will graduate in 2014. “Furthering my studies is providing me with a wealth of information and this position will allow me to put my knowledge and theory to practice, allowing me to achieve my goals within the Product Specialist role at DCC,” concludes Naicker.
