Turbo-charge your wireless Internet with new Huawei LTE routers and modems from DCC

Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) is gearing up for LTE with Huawei’s range of LTE routers and modems, offering up to 150 Megabytes per second (MBps) download speeds and delivering fast wireless Internet to consumers and business. Models available include the E3276, the E5776 and the B593, catering for single users as well as groups of users, ideal for both home and office use.

“While South Africa is still in the beginning stages of rolling out LTE, some areas receive better coverage than others. As LTE coverage becomes more widely available, users will need to upgrade their modems and routers to take advantage of these faster speeds. The Huawei range offers something for everyone, from USB stick style modems to Wi-Fi hotspot generators and Wi-Fi routers that cater for up to 32 users on a single device,” says Raul Del Fabbro, Storage Division Manager at DCC.

The E3276 USB stick modem works on Vodacom, MTN and Cell C networks in South Africa and delivering phenomenal speeds of up to 150MBps depending on available LTE network coverage. It features an external antenna interface to boost signal for better reception, and is compatible with all Operating Systems (OS). The E3276 is available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of approximately R2 500.00, inclusive of VAT.

The E5776 is a high-speed packet access Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, enabling users to wirelessly connect up to 10 devices at a time and share high-speed Wi-Fi (up to 150MBps) in a small office or with friends and family at home. The device can also be connected via USB to a computer for single user access, and supports Vodacom, MTN and Cell C networks. Fully portable and delivering up to 10 hours of battery life on a full charge, the hotspot can be taken with you wherever you go, and is password protected to prevent unauthorised access. A MicroSD card slot enables you to store and share data through your Wi-Fi hotspot. The E5776 is available for a RRP of approximately R3 000.00, inclusive of VAT.

The B593 Wi-Fi router works on Vodacom, MTN and Cell C, and a model for use on Telkom Mobile networks is also available. This router enables the connection of up to 32 devices, making it ideal for use in small to medium enterprises (SMEs). Set up is quick and easy thanks to an intuitive plug ‘n play interface, and the router delivers speeds of 50 to 100 MBps depending on available coverage. A signal indicator shows the strength of reception, and a mode indicator blinks different colours to indicate the status of your connection. The B593 is available for a RRP of approximately R4 900.00, inclusive of VAT.

“These products also support all previous high-speed data technologies, including EDGE, 3G and HSPA, ensuring backward compatibility and the best possible data experience even if LTE is not available. This compatibility also allows users to upgrade in advance of LTE coverage in their area, ensuring they can take advantage of higher speeds as soon as they are available,” concludes Del Fabbro.
