The Minister of Communications to address delegates at the 5th IT Leaders Africa Summit

Kinetic is delighted to announce that Minister Yunus Carrim of the Department of Communications will address delegates in his opening keynote at the 5th IT Leaders Africa Summit next Tuesday, 18 March 2014. Minister Carrim will provide insight into the state of South Africa’s Broadband Policy while giving a general overview on Transparent IT Governance and The Future of Enterprise IT in Africa.

The minister’s opening address on Day 1 will be followed by a panel discussion sponsored by, lead event sponsor, Wipro Technologies. Rajat Mathur, Chief Sales and Operations Officer at Wipro will be joined by Johan du Plessis the IT Director of Consol Glass and Terry White the Director of CXO Advisor in a panel that will discuss The Future of the CIO. Our panellists will discuss the key factors that are likely to affect the role of the CIO in the next 5 years as the IT department becomes increasingly integral to business as new technologies make their way into the IT space.

Day 2 of the summit will kick off with Brett St Clair, Enterprise Country Manager for Google SA who will give a keynote on Decentralization and the Role of Mobile Technology and Prof. Barry Dwolatzky, the Director of the JCSE who will speak on Developing Enterprise Software in Africa.
