Bytes and NCR to participate at the Africa Payments, Banking and Retail Show
The Africa Payments, Banking and Retail Show, Africa’s biggest payments, banking, retail and cash handling exhibition and conference, will be held on 18 and 19 March 2014 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
NCR Corporation, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, and its exclusive distributor in South Africa, Bytes Managed Solutions, will participate at this event. They have chosen the theme “Customer Xperience” and will be showing their vision how they can make the everyday life easier for consumers while retailing and banking in Africa.
“In a world where convenience and customisation are the norm, and consumers come first, the Africa Payments, Banking and Retail Show will focus on preference and presence, enabling banking and retail clients to know what their customers want, and when and where to offer it to them,” says Deidre le Hanie, MD of Bytes Managed Solutions.’ That’s why we themed the show ‘Customer Xperience’. Banking and retail today are all about giving consumers freedom, control and choices. Consumers are loyal to experiences, not companies.”
The show is aimed at helping people who represent the banking and retail sectors to learn how they can deliver unparalleled consumer experiences with state-of-the-art technologies that provide consistency and transparency across all channels. “Our objective is to enable financial services and retail organisations to attract new customers, keep existing ones loyal and grow their business,” adds Le Hanie.
NCR international subject matter experts will be on hand to work with visitors to the show. On March 18, at the conference, NCR’s presentation will focus on “Consumer Xperience Banking: ATMs as a payment hub”. On the same day, a round table discussion titled “Consumer Xperience Banking: The Evolution” will be held and will be hosted by an NCR Financial industry expert. Similarly, on March 19, an NCR Retail industry expert will moderate the round table discussion titled “Consumer Xperience Retail: How global industry trends are influencing omni strategies”.
The NCR APTRA Interactive Teller will also be showcased at the event. It gives consumers a highly personalized banking experience, anywhere, anytime while seamlessly linking a variety of channels together, thus bringing Omni Channel to life. The NCR APTRA Interactive Teller is a unique, new ATM-based technology that makes everyday banking transactions easier by allowing consumers to complete more than 95 percent of typical branch transactions at the ATM assisted by a live remote teller, well beyond operating branch hours.
Additionally, NCR will showcase a number of solutions for retail that they also augment the Omni Channel experience. Specifically, the NCR Endless Aisle Kiosk solution that enables consumers to search, compare, view rating and purchase items while in the store will be demonstrated. Similarly, the latest Hardware and Software POS platforms of NCR will demonstrate how staff can serve customers in traditional manned lanes or by using mobile devices that connect to legacy peripherals, e.g., for Department Stores.
“NCR is a leading global provider of payments, assisted- and self-service solutions and, as the company’s long-standing partner, Bytes Managed Solutions is looking forward to helping customers transform the business with our joint solutions offering,” says Le Hanie.
