KGUARD introduces the Easy Link Series combo kits

KGUARD, a leading DIY security system company for home and small business offering the first true plug and play solutions to the South African market, has announced the availability of the Easy Link Series, the first Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) to use a Quick Response (QR) code to connect to the Internet without any setup.

The Easy Link Series includes a four-channel, eight-channel and a 16-channel standalone DVR, both with 960H resolution, and a selection of combo kits that include a DVR and four or eight 600 TV Line (TVL) high-resolution security cameras. Access to the free Kview app allows users to take advantage of remote monitoring and control of devices using a variety of smartphones and tablets. In addition, all Easy Link DVRs include cloud storage for important recorded image data, with personalised storage space for each user, enabling important moments to be backed up in case the DVR is stolen or damaged.

“One of the biggest problems with CCTV solutions is the fact that they are complex and difficult to install. Connecting a DVR with mobile devices for remote viewing of recorded footage is often one of the most time consuming and challenging tasks. The Easy Link series solves this problem with the use of a QR code, which enables users link their DVR to the Internet without any network setup and then view their footage from smartphones, tablets or their PC. Simply plug the DVR into your network, download the KGuard app, scan the QR code on your device, and then view your footage online,” says Joseph Hsu, Vice General Manager of KGUARD.

Easy Link series DVRs offer 960H resolution, which delivers high definition quality videos and images 34% higher than standard D1 resolution and 500% higher than CIF resolution. Each DVR also supports HDMI output for full HD 1080p display. These features ensure that video and images are always crystal clear, without any missing information, for ultimate protection of homes or offices.

The Easy Link combo kits include four or eight 600TVL high-resolution security cameras to ensure users can cover every important area of their home or office. Cameras feature the KGuard Fulcolor image sensor for high quality full colour images and powerful night vision with a range of up to 65ft/20m in total darkness. A 3.6mm fixed lens with a 75-degree viewing angle enables users to closely monitor specific areas, and waterproof casings protect the cameras from the elements, making them ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Combo kits also include a remote control, USB mouse, software, cables, power adapters and a quick installation guide to help users get up and running in no time.

“In addition, users can download the free KView app for remote monitoring anywhere, anytime. This means that even when you are traveling, away or on vacation, you can still keep an eye on your home or office, monitoring visitors, children and pets and keeping an eye out for intruders. This gives users great peace of mind and ensures they can leverage the full value of their CCTV solution,” Hsu concludes.

The Easy Link series features a one year warranty and technical support. It is available immediately from selected resellers with a recommended retail price starting from R4899,00 inclusive of V.A.T.
