The IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit will put the spotlight on improving business connectivity
The government has invested heavily in broadband infrastructure in recent years and speakers from the City of Cape Town and Western Cape Government will be at the IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit to provide insight into the broadband strategies that are improving business connectivity for local organisations.
Confirmed speakers for this event include Leon van Wyk, Head of Telecoms for the City of Cape Town. Leon will be taking part in a panel discussion with Douglas Gelderbloem, ICT Infrastructure Manager for the City of Cape Town and Mohammed Parker, Deputy Director for IT, Strategy and eCommerce at the Western Cape Government to review the broadband policies taking shape on a local and national level and what these schemes will mean for bandwidth in the region.

Industry leaders including, Chris Botha the Group IT Executive of Famous Brands, Angelo Clayton, IT Executive Business Partner for Pick n Pay and Lucky Masilela, the CEO of the ZA Central Registry (Operator for the CO.ZA internet domain name space) will also present their views at the summit.
Lucky Masilela will be participating in a panel that will discuss Fixed Broadband vs. Mobile Broadband. This session will focus on whether today’s mobile broadband solutions can support your business operations and how the options stack up on price and speed.
In between speaker sessions, Gold solution provider, Inobits and Silver provider WinMagic will showcase their solutions in case study format in 90 minute workshop sessions. Delegates will also be able to discover and compare the latest IT Infrastructure developments in the innovation display area where the technology developers from providers including Meso Systems will be on hand to discuss and exchange ideas with attendees.
