Top speakers and an exciting agenda lined up for the eCommerce Africa Confex

Kinetic is pleased to announce that our inaugural eCommerce Africa Confex (Conference and Exhibition) will be happening at the Cape Town International Conference Centre from the 3-4February 2015.

The eCommerce Africa Confex brings together a unique blend of compelling and knowledge filled conference sessions with an exciting exhibition showcase. Our conference sessions feature over 50 speakers, including founders, CEO’s, venture capitalists, incubators and C-level executives that manage eCommerce platforms for some of Africa’s largest companies. Conveniently next door, the exhibition will host those vendors that are leading the way in innovation for eCommerce. Our panel of advisors who helped us shape the Confex consist of leaders in the eCommerce industry, Paul Galatis – Director of YuppieChef, Raphael Afaedor – Co-founder of Jumia as well as Co-founder and CEO of Supermart and Jaco Jonker – CEO of BidorBuy, South Africa.

Keynote speakers and panel discussions will be led by those individuals who have already established successful eCommerce companies and platforms, such as:

  • Simdul Shagaya – Founder and CEO of Kongo Online Limited
  • Justin Drennan – Co-Founder of wantitall.com
  • Caren Genthner- Kappesz –  CEO, kalahari.com
  • Ronnie Apteker – Founder of IS Solutions
  • David Gibbons – eCommerce Executive of Edcon

Join us as we learn about using mobile in an eCommerce business, how to tackle security issues facing companies that buy and sell online, trends for delivery and logistics, the various payment methods as well as creating brand awareness online. New start-ups or those thinking of entering the eCommerce industry can hear about the challenges along the way and how to overcome them to build a successful business.

The exhibition floor will feature a technology showcase together with various exhibitors from companies that will demonstrate and provide business solutions to improve eCommerce enterprises, as well as organisations that have an eCommerce function or want to build an online channel for their existing business. Our vendors include providers who help shape and build the eCommerce industry and can supply companies with the means to establish an effective online strategy.
