Huawei wows with star-studded P8 launch
Huawei launched its new flagship smartphone – the P8 – at a star-studded event that wowed audiences with light shows and contemporary dancers.
Newly appointed GM of Huawei Consumer Business Group SA, Charlene Munilall unveiled the smart phone that balances artistry and creativity.
“Johannesburg is the latest stop in a worldwide tour that has included stops in Bangkok, Singapore, New York and London,” she said.
The P8 will be available in South African stores and through all network operators from the second week of July.

Media briefing
Huawei’s panel addressed the media, outlining the key features of the P8 smartphone and answering any questions.
The panel included Huawei South Africa product marketing director Yudi Rambaran, East and Southern Africa product marketing director Jaco Van Zyl, and Consumer Business Group South Africa general manager Charlene Munilal.
Also avaliable for questions were East and Southern Africa director of retail and open market Cameron Pernumal and East and Southern Africa director of service Chris Chetty.
