Absa boasts over 1000 Cash Accepting ATMs

Absa Bank now has over 1000 ‘smart’ Cash Accepting ATMs nationwide with real time clearance, most recently adding four more at the revamped Boksburg branch.

“This improves our self-service offering to the Boksburg community and is part of our ongoing strategy to enhance our already dominant ATM network,” says Kudzi Samushonga, Provincial Executive of Absa Retail Banking in Gauteng.

The machines enable cardless cash deposits, allowing both Absa and non-Absa customers to key in the details of the Absa Bank account to be credited and follow the simple screen prompts.

Absa’s Cash Accepting ATMs validate and authenticate cash deposits and the credit is immediately processed to your account

A barcode scanner is fitted on Cash Accepting ATMs to allow Absa and non-Absa customers to pay selected 3rd party service provider accounts by either scanning their statements/invoice or entering the account numbers

Absa Cash Accepting ATMs allow you to pay bills via Scan ’n Pay (scanning bills), such as SABC TV Licences, MTN and Vodacom, Joburg Municipality and Blue Label.

Self-service kiosks, in addition to the above functionalities, offer customers the ability to draw their full A4 statements.

Since these are non-cash devices, functions like cash deposits and withdrawals are not available.
