Imaginary Friends is a Mel Botes tribute to Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, Dave Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix and Steve Lukather.

For the past seven years Mel Botes has entertained audiences all over the country with his critically acclaimed musical performances, Crazy Diamond – A Tribute to Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon (Chapter II in series of Pink Floyd tribute shows) and Sultans of Swing – tribute to Dire Straits.

Audiences and critics agreed that he mastered the complexity and density of the music of these shows in a way that none of the other tribute shows have achieved and features the same pin point accuracy in his playing together with the same delightful

The new production (on public demand) titled IMAGINARY FRIENDS promises everything audiences have come to expect from the virtuoso and features his personal favorite songs of his guitar heroes such as Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, Dave Gilmour, Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler, Jimi Hendrix and Steve Lukather.

This show also gives Mel the opportunity to showcase some of his original work together with that of a selection of the most successful rock guitarists of all time.

Mel Botes has chosen to remain true to his mission which includes powerfully entertaining original concept shows.
