Cloud on Demand has been appointed by Microsoft as a Cloud OS Network Partner in South Africa, undergoing a massive paradigm shift.<\/p>\n

\u201cVirtualisation is like religion. You are VMware or Hyper-V, not both. Well that was how it was in our organisation before we went down this road,\u201d says Jonathan Kropf, Cloud on Demand CEO.<\/p>\n

So why two platforms?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSimple. Each has their own use case and their own addressable market. It is not often that the customers overlap,\u201d Kropf adds.<\/p>\n

Microsoft and its push around the \u201cCloud First, Mobile First\u201d messaging has created a buzz around Cloud services in the market place and particularly in Microsoft centric customers and partners.<\/p>\n

The problem is that with Latency at up to 400ms on international connections, deploying production applications and moving to the Azure Cloud has been problematic.<\/p>\n

To solve this, Cloud on Demand aims to deliver the core Azure services, with a familiar Azure interface, but delivered in local DC\u2019s, with local people to interact with and local people to talk to about challenges and migration requirements.<\/p>\n
