Cisco can now sell and deliver Commvault Software to customers with ‘Cisco validated’ data protection solutions for the modern datacentre. The announcement marks the latest strategic milestone in the longstanding partnership between the two companies, enabling Commvault, a global leader in enterprise backup, recovery, archive and the cloud, bringing a full solution stack and simplicity to Cisco customers and resellers. Commvault Software is now available by Cisco resellers and its broader ecosystem via the Cisco Solutions Plus program and is expected to be on Cisco’s Global Price List in October.
Commvault joins the Cisco SolutionsPlus Program at a time when enterprise and midmarket customers are facing increased data challenges fueled by the exponential growth in the amount of data to store, manage and analyse, and the ever increasing risk of security breaches. Commvault mitigates this challenge through its robust data platform that defends against the growing variety of threats, while providing customers the flexibility to reliably manage data stored in the data centre and in the cloud.
Commvault Data Protection Provides Cisco Enterprise and Midmarket Customers with Full Solution Stack in Next Generation Data Centre
Whether customers are refreshing infrastructure with new UCS servers, transitioning to hyper-converged infrastructure with HyperFlex, or designing a converged system with performance-optimised FlashStack or Flexpod, the Commvault Data Platform provides a fully tested and validated architecture to meet their unique deployment and operational needs to deliver proven enterprise-class data protection and management. The availability of Commvault Software in the Cisco Solution Plus Program also reinforces Commvault’s commitment to address midmarket customers, who favor qualified and integrated solutions. Offering the most expansive support for public cloud providers, hypervisors, big data support and database protection, Commvault Software on Cisco infrastructure can accelerate customers’ adoption of and transition to a hybrid cloud strategy across business-critical and secondary application use cases, while eliminating the hassles and costs of dealing with multiple vendors.
While today’s announcement marks the latest milestone in Commvault’s partnership with Cisco, customers have been deploying Commvault Software and solutions on Cisco hardware for years, benefiting from Cisco Validated Designs (CVDs) and reference architectures to guide their assessment and deployment. By expanding its alliance with Cisco and its data centre partners, Commvault will make it seamless for customers to adopt the ‘best of breed’ solutions in a unified stack that enhances the already strong value proposition of the Cisco data centre portfolio. Earlier this year, Commvault teamed up with Pure Storage and Cisco to provide data protection support for FlashStack™, a flexible, converged infrastructure solution which combines the latest in compute, network and storage hardware into a single, integrated architecture.
