Commvault, a recognised global enterprise software leader in the management of data across cloud and on-premises environments, today announced the appointment of Jamie Farrelly as the new EMEA Vice President, Channel and Alliances.

In his new role, Farrelly will oversee Commvault’s EMEA Partner Organisation, with a focus on the implementation of its channel engagement best practices, global programmes and enablement plans.

Farrelly brings over 20 years’ experience operating across distribution and vendor organisations, from global multinationals to start ups. Coming to Commvault from his most recent role as EMEA Vice President, Channels at Veritas Technologies, Farrelly brings a wealth of insight, market understanding and long-term competitive analysis of Commvault offerings and programmatic capability that will maximise growth and profitability for all levels of Commvault partners.

“We as Commvault have to be bold because we have everything, we need to be really relevant to our partners and to add value to them. Relevance is driven by people, technical excellence, and belief – and this is why I’m excited to join the Commvault team, as we have all of these in abundance,” said Farrelly. “We have excellent teams across all areas; we have future-facing and market-defining BaaS capability through Metallic, and the most comprehensive portfolio in the market. We have every reason to be strategically relevant to every one of our partners – especially in today’s new, remote, business environment.”

Farrelly joins the Commvault EMEA Leadership team of Marco Fanizzi, VP Sales EMEA in full alignment to the company’s recently appointed VP Global Channel and Alliances – John Tavares – to ensure delivery of localised implementation of global best practices.

“Our business is entirely based on an indirect model aimed at enhancing collaboration with Distributors, GSI’s, Alliances and MSP’s. Jamie’s expertise and his abilities will be essential to expand and accelerate our growth by improving the quality of the relationship with them,” said Fanizzi. “The expertise that Jamie brings, combined with the partner centric approach of the EMEA team, will ensure we are not only able to offer our customers the most strategic and relevant value from their data, but also reach new levels of collaboration, productivity and new joint opportunities with our partners.”
